Population
Beijing is the capital of the People's Republic of China and it has a population of more than 22 million people. It is also called Peking because Beijing was the land of the Peking Man. It was also home to the Homo Erectus and Homo Sapiens. The history of Beijing started roughly about 250,00 years ago.
Beijing has a very rich past and culture; it has gone through hundreds of wars, and is one of the four ancient cities of China. The popular Great Wall of China stretches over the northern part of Beijing. The architectural and historical sites of the municipality are still being preserved, but Beijing is also in the zone of modernization.
As the years progressed, Beijing's population grew at an alarmingly fast rate. China is a very popular tourist attraction and many foreigners have already migrated to Beijing after experiencing what the beautiful city had to offer.
